Baby Equipment
Disposal Options
If in good working condition, baby equipment (such as a crib, cradle, bassinet, stroller, high chair, or car seat) may be donated to another person or to certain organizations for reuse such as the Baby Product Exchange. For more information about the Baby Product Exchange, please reach out to Wendy Rice at vermontconnector@. gmail.com
Please note that some used baby equipment may not be suitable for reuse without first meeting certain criteria. Baby equipment that is not in good condition should be disposed of in the trash. To dispose of car seats in the trash, cut the harness straps in half; remove all covers and padding, and visibly damage the seat with a hammer so that the seat cannot be used again. Place the separate pieces in an opaque trash bag and dispose of as household trash.
