Cat litter and pet waste of all kinds should be sealed in a plastic bag and placed in the trash. Cat litter and waste from meat-eating animals should not be composted at home if the compost will be used on a garden due to pathogens that can be passed to humans. Cat litter and pet waste is not accepted for composting at drop-off locations.
