Register for the Repair Fair

Please register below before the event if you wish to have an item fixed. We may contact you if we have a question about your item.

If you think your item requires special parts for repair, please try to bring those with you. Only limited supplies and parts will be available at the event, and your item is much more likely to be fixed if you bring any necessary parts. Please note that not all items brought for repair may be fixable. Thank you for your understanding!

Attendees must stay with their item so they can learn from the fixer and give permission for steps the fixer might need to take to fix an item. We highly encourage you to participate in the repair of your item as much as possible!

View our House Rules (PDF). Anyone who brings items for repair will be required to sign the House Rules form to indicate agreement with our policies.

How it works…

We are asking all interested in attending the Repair Fair to pre-register. This is to limit wait times for attendees and to allow fixer's repairs to be staggered. Please review the available timeslots and select all times that work in your schedule. A member of ACSWMD staff will reach out with an assigned timeslot before the event. Please arrive at the Fair within the designated window.

What can get fixed?

We currently have fixers signed up skilled in:

  • Small appliances (lamps, fans, toasters, etc.)
  • Housewares / toys
  • Woodworking
  • Jewelry
  • Basic bike tune-ups
  • Sewing / Mending / Darning

This list is subject to change. Contact us to ask about specific items. 

What can’t get fixed?

We currently are unable to fix the following categories of items:

  • Lawnmowers, leaf blowers, snow blowers, weed whackers, chainsaws, and generators
  • Large appliances
  • Obsolete technology (unless the participant has necessary repair parts)
