Doing some spring cleaning and need some reminders about what garbage goes where? Join a workshop hosted by Addison County Solid Waste in partnership with our local libraries! We’re super excited about this collaboration and hope you can attend a session. Here’s a list of workshops and locations:
Recycling 101: Learn how recycling works, how to recycle properly, and where recycling goes after the blue bin. After a presentation on the state of recycling in Addison County, there will be a Q&A session with Addison County Solid Waste Management District Staff

- Ilsley Public Library, April 12, 2023, from 6:30-7:30 PM
- Lincoln Library, April 29, 2023, from 10-11 AM note: Kids are welcome to participate in a separate story/playtime activity about recycling with library staff/ volunteers in the children's wing of the library.
Storytime & Reuse: ACSWMD staff members will read a series of children’s books about recycling, composting, and garbage men. After, kids will participate in a reuse activity making plant pots out of non-recyclables.

Backyard Compost Workshop: Learn what makes a compost pile successful, the different types of compost, how to build a pile, and ways to troubleshoot common compost problems.
