America Recycles Day(s)!

Schools across Lamoille and Addison County are invited to join a week of Zoom presentations in honor of America Recycles Day. The ECO AmeriCorps members from each District are excited to bring you an awesome panel of presenters on topics ranging from the fundamentals of recycling to an introduction to composting. The week schedule includes:

  • Monday, November 16, Josh Kelly from the Vermont D.E.C (Department of Environmental Conservation) will talk about the importance of recycling as well as the problems it possess. Best for grades 6-12. 
  • Tuesday, November 17, Lexi Chambers of the Lamoille Solid Waste Management District will discuss the history, purpose and success of Act 148, Vermont's Universal Recycling Law, in VT. All ages. 
  • Wednesday, November 18, Colin Clarcq of the Addison County Solid Waste Management District explains the meaning of a zero-waste lifestyle. All ages. 
  • Thursday, November 19, Lexi Chambers will talk with Declan Stefanski of ReGreenVT on how composting is nature’s way of recycling. All ages.
  • Friday, November 20, Rhonda Mace of the Central Solid Waste District will walk us through the process of a Materials Recovery Facility. All ages.
